Last weekend we emptied my bar completely for vodka and tequila. That means it’s time to take the boat to Sweden! (Everything is way cheaper on the boat. A vodka cost 135kr for 1 liter instead of 260kr for 0,7 liters at Polet (Norway’s only liquor shop).
Early this morning we got up, drove to Sandefjord and picked up my sister and her fiancé, and we all got on the boat to Sweden. It’s a pretty boring trip that takes about 2,5 hours. We did some shopping, and stocked up on vodka, tequila, khalua, rum, wine and two cases of beer. (A bit too much, but oh well
Finally in Sweden, we had some pizza and drove off to Nordbyn. And damn, it was crowded! We had to drive around the parking lot and hunt for a space. After several laps we finally found one, and got inside. I’ve never seen this place this crowded, and babies everywhere! Anyway, we bought loads of food, 30kg of dogfood, and a load of candy. And a case with Battery, and one with Red Bull.
Driving home was reeeaally boring most of the way. The queue after the border didn’t help much. One exciting thing happened tho, and not exciting in a good way. At the border’s the “toll-people” (the ones who steal your booze if you got too greedy on the boat) had routed the traffic to their evil lair, and picked out random victims. Fortunately (!), we didn’t get pulled over. It would have gotten expensive, AND they would have stolen my precious booze!

Other than that it was just a really long boring try-not-to-fall-asleep drive back home.
Good Night!

I’ve been looking forward to the movie Grindhouse, it consists of two movies by Rodriguez and Tarantino, showed back-to-back. Now I found out that outside North-America, the movie won’t be shown as one, but split into two separate movies!! The whole point with grindhouse is two movies back-to-back! Now we don’t only have to pay 2 tickets, but we even gotta wait 1,5 months between them! They’re released in June and September!
If they don’t show these movies as one, I won’t bother going to the cinema to watch it. I’d rather download it and watch them as they’re supposed to be watched. I can’t believe a company pretty much forces fans to download their movie. Idiots..
Sign the petition here, or e-mail the Weinstein Company!

Haven’t updated in a while now, so thought I’d just give a summary of the events lately. It’s easter vacation this week, so I’ve just been hanging out home, reading, watching movies and playing Battlefield 2142.
I finished Kate Mosse’s Labyrinth a few days ago. It was ok, I finished it, but it wasn’t really exciting. For me, it was 300 pages of boring suff, then 150 pages of pretty good reading, and the 50 last pages that were exciting. Two days ago I started reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. This book is great! I was home alone yesterday, and spent the whole day reading. It’s the kind of book that after each chapter, you gotta read on to know what happens. I’ve only read about 250 pages (of 900), but I already recommend it!
Yesterday The Gathering 2007 started. I’ve been there every year since 2000 (except 2001), and really wanted to go this year too. However, no one else wanted to go. I’ve been at TG alone before, and it wasn’t half the fun it is to go with friends. So I’m staying home this easter. At least I’m saving some money…
Other than that, not much is going on. We’ve been enjoying the nice weather, and gonna go out on a playdate with King and one, or even two other border collies later today.

The last days have been great! We’ve been having lunch outside, while King have been playing in the garden. The neighbor’s dog have also come out and said hello a couple times. It’s a bit of a strange dog tho, she walks around barking for no reason. Weird. She and King have been nice to each other, unlike before when they attacked each other on sight.
Yesterday we went to “Verdens Ende” (End of the World). It was awesome! The weather was perfect, not a wave in sight and perfect heat. We were walking around on the mountain and enjoying the view. King liked it there as well, but running around on the rocks with plenty of edges to fall off, it wasn’t the best place to have a dog on a leash.

When you put it this way, why would you buy a PS3?

Today I opened my final can of Tuborg “Sommerøl” from last summer. I saved a six-pack for about 8 months now, and today I figured summer was close enough to open my last one. After all, the stores will soon start to sell the beer again. I like this beer better than the normal Tuborg, it just tastes lighter/fresher. This summer, I’ll save twice as much beer =)
On other matters, I found a huge flaw in Vista. Well, I’ve found it before, but it really annoyed me last night. I was gonna transfer 17Gb over the network, but sometimes Vista has BIG problems with moving large files across the network. The copy process went something like this: copy start, transfer in 25-30 Mb/s, stop for 10 seconds, transfer in full speed for 5 seconds, stop for 10 seconds.. It’s so goddamn annoying! I found a couple fixes online, but of course, none worked for me. Not even FTP worked as it should. It even froze at the end of every large file. I hope Microsoft manages to fix this ASAP, I’m surprised they haven’t fixed it yet. *bangs head in table*

This has been a pretty slow week. On Monday we were at the funeral for my friend, which was a nice service. On Tuesday we started NET206b. It was alright, we started with assembly programming. Wednesday it was ALG206, which was just as boring as usual. I ended up spending more time figuring how to make Java midlets (programs for cell phones). Thursday we worked on the project. It’s going pretty well, except we have hardly any models and documentations.
Today I was supposed to get some work done, but first I couldn’t log onto a website ’cause the password didn’t work. When I was supposed to fix a bill that I haven’t payed, I couldn’t ’cause I can’t find it! Bah…
Later tonight, we’re going out to see ‘300′ in Sandefjord. I’ve been waiting for this movie since I saw it’s trailer on Apple’s site several months ago. It’s gonna be great!

Finally my new Sony Ericsson W710i arrived! Been tracking it in the mail, and at about 6pm it finally arrived at the post office. Went down to get it immediately, and been playing around with it since. I love it so far, the step counter works great, lots of cool accessories and so on. While copying stuff over to my phone, I stumbled upon a sweet java program from Google! It’s basically GMail made in java, and it’s much faster and easier to use than checking gmail through wap.
Here’s the link.
Also, you can get the jar here, if you wanna install it through the computer.

This day had a terrible start. I talked to one of my friends on the phone when I woke up, and he told me a friend of mine hanged himself in his room during the night. He was one of my best friends some years ago during secondary school, but I have hardly spoken with him the last few years now. No one knows why he did it, and maybe we’ll never know.
Rest in peace, AA.
